Diana Niepce is a dancer, choreographer and writer. She graduated from the Escola Superior de Dança, did an Erasmus at Teatterikorkeakoulun (in Helsinki), did a Masters in Art and Communication at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa, completed the CPGAE training at Forum Dança and is also a qualified hatha-yoga teacher.
She is an associate artist at Espaço do Tempo and the creator of the contemporary circus piece Forgotten Fog (2015) and the dance pieces Raw a nude (2019), 12 979 Dias (2019), Dueto (2020), T4 (2020), Anda, Diana (SPA Prize, 2021) and O outro lado da dança (2022). As a dancer and performer, she has collaborated with Bal-Moderne - Companhia Rosas, Felix Ruckert, Willi Dorner, António Tagliarini, Daria Deflorian, La fura del baus, May Joseph, Sofia Varino, Miira Sippola, Jérôme Bel, Ana Borralho and João Galante, Ana Rita Barata and Pedro Sena Nunes, Mariana Tengner Barros, Rui Catalão, Rafael Alvarez, Adam Benjamin, Diana de Sousa and Justyna Wielgus. Curator and trainer for the Introduction to Performing Arts for Artists with Disabilities (2020), Fora da Norma (2023) at the Biblioteca de Marvila/CML and Cineteatro Louletano, and currently NORMA with TNDMII.
She has published an article in the book Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker in Lisbon (ed. Egeac/INCM), the children's short story Bayadére (ed. CNB), the poem 2014 in the magazine Flanzine, the article Experimenting with the body in the performing arts journal Coreia, the book Anda, Diana (ed. Sistema Solar) and the story Partidos e fedidos, são os calhaus. for the Rota Memorial do Convento.
