Raquel Lima

Raquel Lima is a poet, transdisciplinary artist, and researcher. She has presented her work in various countries across Europe, the Americas, and Africa, participating in events focused on literature, performance, visual arts, music, and social sciences. Highlights include her participation in the 8th Biennial of São Tomé and Príncipe, the 59th Venice Biennale, and the 35th São Paulo Biennial. Her research focuses on orature, memory, contemporary practices of escape, abstraction and healing, and Afro-diasporic movements. She holds a degree in Artistic Studies and is a PhD candidate in Postcolonial Studies. She published the book Ingenuidade Inocência Ignorância (Naivety Innocence Ignorance) and is a co-founder of UNA – União Negra das Artes (Black Arts Union).
