In partnership with Alkantara, Estúdios Victor Córdon host Djam Neguin and his new project Ami.lcar.
Ami.lcar is a performances inspired by the life and work of Amilcar Cabral, onde of the greatest leaders in history. Artist Djam Noggin uses multimedia tools, artificial intelligence, and augmented reality to extend the legacy of this immortal figure, exploring the tension between what is real and what is virtual, human and post-human.
This residency is part of Estúdio Victor Córdon’s In Transit programme, developed in partnership with some of the festivals that play a fundamental role in promoting artistic creation and the access to the performing arts in Portugal. Read more about the programme here:
Nascido e criado em cabo-verde, na cidade da praia, até aos 9 anos de idade, cedo. Revelou as suas costelas criativas. A sua mudança para Portugal, onde viveu até aos 19anos, foi primordial para o afloramento das suas aptidões. Com uma adolescência repleta de feitos artísticos destacados inclusive com premiações portuguesas e internacionais (na área da literatura, por exemplo),Djam ingressou em 2010 na escola superior de teatro e cinema, mas com os estudos interrompidos.
