Trans-inclusive workspaces

How do you make the workspace ‘inclusive’? This is an intentional and continuous effort to ensure that diverse people participate fully in all aspects of work, including decision-making processes, and are respected members of the organisation and/or community. In an inclusive workspace, people create a sense of belonging, and their psychological safety is guaranteed.

What practices make workspaces trans-inclusive, not only for the public, but also for team members and other employees?

In this session we will focus specifically on teams and artists.

The entry is free, subject to room availability. The space has a capacity of 50 seats.

Maria Vlachou: Fundadora e diretora executiva da associação Acesso Cultura. Autora dos livros Musing on Culture: Management, Communications and our Relationship with People (ed. Bypass, 2010) e O que temos a ver com isto? O papel político das organizações culturais (ed. Tigre de Papel e Buala, 2022). Foi diretora de comunicação do São Luiz Teatro Municipal (2006-2012) e responsável de comunicação do Pavilhão do Conhecimento – Ciência Viva (2001-2006). Fellow e membro do ISPA – International Society for the Performing Arts (2018, 2020). Alumna do DeVos Institute of Arts Management at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts (Washington, 2011-2013); mestre em Museologia pela University College London (1994), tendo realizado estágios no Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology e no Natural History Museum.

Alice Azevedo: Alice Azevedo é licenciada em Estudos Artísticos – Artes do Espetáculo pela Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa. Frequenta atualmente o mestrado em Estética e Estudos Artísticos da NOVA FCSH. Enquanto atriz, foi em 2021 a Papisa Joana na peça Top Girls, no Teatro Nacional D. Maria II. Integrou as produções da companhia Sai de Cena entre 2015 e 2018. Criou a Declaração do Dia Mundial do Teatro para o São Luiz Teatro Municipal em 2021. É criadora de Literatura de Sodoma e de Safo, se faz favor (2022, Festival 5L), Nau Nau Maria (2023, co-produção TNDMII), Se não és Lésbica, como é que te chamas? (2024, no TBA). Cocriou com Lila Tiago NOS SUNT – Uma Exibição para o Festival Interferências e em 2020 Tágides, Exemplares para o TBA.

Fórum Cultura is part of PISTA, a training program jointly promoted by Alkantara and Polo Cultural Gaivotas | Boavista/Loja Lisboa Cultura. It targets cultural agents, including both professional organizations and individuals, seeking to enhance and refine their skills, exchange best practices, and engage in public discourse on contemporary cultural matters.
