Marcus Bergner & Myriam Van Imschoot are the first guests in the Expanded Practices All Over programme, a series of three international workshop-conference-performance formats organised by Paula Caspão at the Centre for Theatre Studies at the University of Lisbon, taking place between April 2019 and April 2020.

This soirée will include a performance resulting from the Total Poetry and Contestation workshop and the screening of two recent documentaries by Marcus Bergner & Myriam Van Imschoot.

Performance:

The performance will include “One Word” (2018), a solo by Bergner, and “Schloss Songs” (2016), by Van Imschoot and Bergner, as well as other contributions.

Documentaries:

Yodel Portrait: Phil Minton (2017, 30’) by Myriam Van Imschoot
A tribute to the British artist Phil Minton, who uses various “expanded techniques”, and to the various voices that inhabit his vast vocal landscape.

Sound Poetry Film: Washing Machine (2017, 5’) by Marcus Bergner
This work includes original voice pieces, machine noises, and shots with a panoramic camera.
