We are pleased to welcome the 2024 participants of the matéria leve (light matter) project: Ana Luísa Novais, Bee Barros, Gabriela Claveria, June João Abreu, Ska Batista, and Priscila Altivo.

matéria leve is a research and training project in stage lighting for cisgender women, non-binary and trans people, coordinated by Leticia Skrycky with support from Carolina Campos. It is offered as a collective learning space in which the three pillars of research, experimentation, and technique converge. The main goal of the project is to share tools for the professional development of the discipline, and to support the participants in developing an artistic practice of stage lighting grounded in research and collaboration.

This year, the programme runs from May to December, with theoretical and practical sessions taking place at Espaço Alkantara in June and July.

matéria leve is supported by Alkantara, RE.AL, Graner - Centre de creació de dansa i arts vives, and Polo Cultural Gaivotas l Boavista.
