Thursday: Abracabra by Cláudia Dias
- 01.12 2019
- Seven Years Seven Pieces
- Festival Dantzalia, La Fundición, Bilbau
In 2019, Cláudia Dias begins working on the fourth instalment of Seven Yers Seven Pieces project. After Pablo Fidalgo Lareo, Luca Bellezze, and Igor Gandra, the project continues with choreographer and dancer Idoia Zabaleta.
Idoia Zabaleta – irreverent, free, responsible, a punk, generous, intelligent, an activist – is a natural choice for this project, given the complicity she shares with Cláudia Dias. In 2014 they developed a training project in the Basque country called Nesta parte esquinada da península, which involved 16 Basque, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese artists. They share the technique of Real-Time Composition, both as a theoretical/practical tool and as artistic training, as well as a political position – a way of being and looking at the questions of the polis.
Thursday will premiere in Bilbao at Festival Dantzaldia, on November 30 and December 1, 2019.
