Ana Ribeiro
Ana Ribeiro was born in Lisbon in 1980. She holds a degree in Communication Design from FBAUL and a professional qualification in Visual Arts Education from FCEUL. She taught Visual Arts for 20 years, working with students from primary through to upper secondary school. She completed the Cultural Mediation course at Acesso Cultura and a postgraduate course in Artistic Practices and Social Inclusion at FCHUC. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Cultural Studies and Management at ISCTE.
She is passionate about the body and believes in the connections between different artistic forms. She was a gymnast and aerial acrobat, and trained in physical theatre and dance, including the seminars O Corpo que Pensa, at Espaço do Tempo in Montemor, and the Community Dance Course at Fórum Dança. She taught and directed circus arts performances at Chapitô, in Lisbon.
She is a cultural mediator and explores the symbiotic relationship between the arts and education through her own project, Um Artista aí em Casa. She is the mother of two intense children.
