Bruno Brandonilo

Bruno Brandonilo

Based in Lisbon, Bruno Brandonilo graduated in acting at the Escuela Multidisciplinaria de Arte Dramático (EMAD) and trained in dance at inDANS | Escuela de Artes del Movimiento, in Uruguay. In Portugal, he attended Forum Dança's PACAP II in 2018 curated by Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz. Most recently, he was a resident artist at K3 - Zentrum Für Choreographie (Hamburg, Germany) for the season 2023-2024.The performative language he has been developing the past years brings together formats and expressions that hybridize theatricality, choreography and music.

His works, Melodrama: senza te (2024), La Burla (2022), and El Universo no se asemeja a nada (2019), have been performed in various contexts in Latin America and Europe. Together with the artist brazilian Bibi Dória, co-author of La Burla, he coordinates the laboratory All that is divine degrades deep beneath the earth.

In addition to his authorial work, he collaborates as a performer for artists such as Tamara Cubas, Sofia Dias & Vítor Roriz, João Fiadeiro and Julián Pacomio, among others.
