Kaloan is a Brazilian multidisciplinary artist and immigrant living in Berlin for the past three years. They work at the intersection of experimental music and performance, exploring the relation between sound and movement using motion sensors placed on their body. Their inspiration/research derives from the trance practices of different rituals from Brazilian culture and their decolonising potential. Their performances are marked by vibrant colours, exotic garments, and a collection of unique samples that blend Brazilian electronic rhythms, synths and field recordings.
