After the first three months of work, the light matter project is going to share its space for experimentation and collective reflection on stage lighting. On 31 July, at 7 pm, we will open the doors of our studio for a working session, open to anyone who wants to get to know this project better. The entry is free.

light matter is a research and training project in stage lighting for cisgender women, non-binary and trans people, coordinated by Leticia Skrycky with support from Carolina Campos. It is offered as a collective learning space in which the three pillars of research, experimentation, and technique converge. The main goal of the project is to share tools for the professional development of the discipline, and to support the participants in developing an artistic practice of stage lighting grounded in research and collaboration.

light matter 2024 is formed by Ana Luísa Novais Gomes, Bee Barros, Gabriela Claveria, Josefa Pereira, June João Abreu, Naiana Pardal, Priscila Altivo and Ska Batista.

This project is supported by Alkantara - Associação Cultural, DGArtes - Direção Geral das Artes, RE.AL and Graner - Centre de creació de dansa i arts vives (ES).
