At Teatro São Luiz, Cláudia Dias presents the five performances in her Seven Years Seven Pieces project, begun in 2016. Each piece, created with a different guest artist, connects artists, thinkers, countries and cities, past, future and present, art and political action. The whole is larger than the sum of its parts. Seeing it piece develop in sequence is a different experience than seeing each one, isolated or in alternation. Seven pieces plus one, the whole; or innumerous others, resulting from the various possible combinations and the personal collection each person is able to make. At São Luiz, the performances are complemented with a series of talks and an workshop with illustrator António Jorge Gonçalves, responsable for the design and illustrations of the books in this project.

Cláudia Dias

Cláudia Dias (Lisbon, 1972) is a Portuguese choreographer, performer, and teacher. Education Cláudia Dias began her dance training at Academia Almadense and received a scholarship to continue her training with Companhia de Dança de Lisboa. She completed the training program for Contemporary Dance performers at Fórum Dança and the Professional Course in Management of Cultural Organisations and Projects (Cultideias).
