An intimate critique of the construction of manhood and the pressure to conform to its ideal
There are many things between an intimate encounter and the magic of the stage, but what is the shortest distance between those two moments?
Dad for Dinner is a game with the audience that digs into the details of masculinity with poetry and good-humour. It plays with the ways in which we deploy words, feelings, and archetypes around the idea of “being a man.”
The performance is a subjective journey towards the ballast that is our father, that remains in our personality and is at the origin of so many desires and failures.
