Filipa Francisco studied dance, theatre, improvisation, and dramaturgy at the Escola Superior de Dança, with the Trisha Brown Dance Company, at the Lee Strasberg Institute in New York, and with dramaturge André Lepecki.

Among her works, she highlights Íman with young people from the Cova da Moura neighbourhood (Projecto Nu Kre Bai Na Bu Onda) and A Viagem with folk dance groups. Filipa performed in Francisco Camacho’s Gust, More, and À Força. She also performed in Sílvia Real’s Um solo para dois intérpretes, was assistant in Tritone, and replaced the choreographer in the role of D. Domicília in Casio Tone (Teatro Municipal de Almada and Cine Teatro Torres Vedras). She danced with Miguel Pereira in works by various choreographers, and Miguel later performed in her work Transgarden.

She is the artistic director of the association Mundo em Reboliço.
