Odete is a multidisciplinary artist whose work operates in the fields of music, visual arts, performance and theatre. She completed the course in Performance Arts at the Academia Contemporânea do Espetáculo – Escola de Artes in Porto, in 2013, where she specialised in performing arts in the area of representation. She also has a bachelor’s degree in General Studies from the Universidade de Lisboa. She has shown her work in leading Portuguese festivals, theatres and cultural spaces, as well as throughout Europe and Asia. Recently, she was awarded the ReXform prize for performing arts, presenting the project “On Revelations and Muddy Becomings” at MAAT in collaboration with BoCA Bienal. She has released 5 albums and EPs since 2018 and has collaborated with Puta da Silva, Jota Mombaça, Dinis Machado, Diana Policarpo Ece Canli and André Godinho, among others.
