The post-show talks are a space for conversation around art-making and the themes of the performances. This year, festival artists artists Dorothée Munyaneza, Mario Barrantes Espinoza, Chiara Bersani, and María del Mar Suárez (La Chachi) will each discuss their work with a local artist and take questions from the audience.

Dorothée Munyaneza

Based in Marseille, Dorothée Munyaneza is a multi-disciplinary artist using music, song, text and movement to deal with rupture as a dynamic force. Munyaneza draws from real stories seizing body, memory and our times to create a space of resonance. Mario Barrantes Espinoza

Mario Barrantes Espinoza is a Costa Rican-Nicaraguan artist based in Brussels. They studied theatre and dance at the National University of Costa Rica before moving to Belgium, where they graduated from the Training Cycle (2016) and the Research Studios (2018) at P.A.R.T.S. He has collaborated in works by François Chaignaud, Théo Mercier, Benjamin Abel Meirhaeghe, Michiel Vandevelde and Eszter Salamon, and performed as guest artist for the bands Peaches and The Subs. Chiara Bersani

Chiara Bersani is an Italian performer and author active in the field of performing arts, research theater and contemporary dance. As an interpreter and as a director / choreographer moves through different languages and visions. Her works, presented in international circuits, are born as creations in dialogue with spaces of different nature and are mainly aimed at a “neighbor” to the scene. María del Mar Suárez (La Chachi)

María del Mar Suárez, La Chachi, is an actress and dancer from Málaga who combines flamenco, physical theatre and contemporary dance in a hybrid and original language. After training with La Lupi and collaborating with artists such as Alberto Cortés, Belén Maya and Fernando López, she debuted with La Gramática de los Mamíferos, with which she won three PAD Awards and the Lorca Award for best female performer. Luísa Saraiva

Luísa Saraiva is a choreographer and performer born in Porto, Portugal and living between Porto and Berlin. She studied psychology at the University of Porto and dance at the Folkwang Arts University in Essen. Her choreographic work explores the language of the body and voice and lies at the intersection of movement and musical composition.
