Bridges

Bridges is Alkantara Festival’s programme that brings together performing arts professionals – artistic teams and programmers – from Portugal and other international contexts.

Over three days, this initiative combines performances with informal gatherings designed to strengthen collaborative networks, promote artists working in Portugal and foster new partnerships.

The Bridges 2026 programme includes the roundtable Festivals as Infrastructures: Circulation and Economies of Visibility, the last of three meetings for professionals held as part of a cultural cooperation strategy between France, Spain and Portugal, curated by Materiais Diversos (MD) in collaboration with the Institut français du Portugal, and in partnership with Culturgest and the Alkantara Festival.
