A search for possible futures, live from Bamako.

On stage, a musician-griot with a kora and sampler accompanies a live film, shot in real time in Bamako. On screen, the actors Diarrah Dembelé and Kassim Dagnogo walk or ride motorcycles through the Malian capital, filmed by Alfousseny and Souleymane Konaté. These visionary investigators shoot a continuous live take, blending documentary and science fiction.

Packed-earth permeable soils, medicinal plants, resilient solutions and acts of solidarity coexist alongside fuel shortages, Chinese influence, and political instability.

What if the future already exists somewhere else?

The audience is taken on a fast-paced musical road trip in search of possible futures.
