Stefan Kaegi
Stefan Kaegi creates documentary theatre productions, radio plays, nomadic concepts, and projects in urban spaces in a wide variety of constellations, often placing animals—or even the audience itself—at the centre of the work.
Together with Helgard Haug and Daniel Wetzel, Kaegi works under the label Rimini Protokoll, which received, among other awards, the Silver Lion for Theatre at the Venice Biennale in 2011.
In recent years, Rimini Protokoll has, for example, staged the tetralogy State 1–4 on the phenomena of post-democracy, a simulation of a World Climate Conference at the Schauspielhaus Hamburg, the jellyfish installation (win<>win) for museums, and the urban walk (Utopolis) at the Manchester Festival.
