From September 25 to 28, Casa da Dança in Almada will host the first training session of the IN EX(ILE) LAB project.
This training session in video workshop format is held by Luciano B. Cieza and the participants are the artists selected in the IN EX(ILE) LAB Open Call in Portugal, Francisco Thiago Cavalcanti, Letícia Simões and Keyla Brasil.
IN EX(ILE) LAB is a project that will support artists in exile,who have recently relocated and are looking to build a career in their host country, by providing opportunities to create a performance, build a professional network, be artistically advised by established artists based in Europe and reach new audiences within the European space.
Alkantara is one of the main partners of the IN EX(ILE) laboratory. The project brings together cultural organisations based in France, Italy, Cyprus and Portugal and is aimed at artists in exile

The project also includes 5 associated experts Abantu social cooperative(Italy), Acesso Cultura (Portugal),Cyprus Refugee Council (Cyprus), La Briqueterie (França), Théâtre National de Chaillot (France) and 4 individual experts Eva Neklayeva, Maral Bolouri, Khaled Alwarea, Khaled Barakeh who provide their feedback on the project design and implementation.

Luciano B. Cieza (Buenos Aires,1983) is a multidisciplinary artist working with film, video, photography, poetry, music, and performance art. He holds a bachelor’s degree in experimental film from the San Francisco Art Institute in California and also studied multimedia art at the School of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon. He has carried out films, performances and exhibitions in Argentina, Brazil, France, U.S.A, Portugal and Belgium.
