Meeting point ~ 27 Nov

10.30PM

Two generations come together to celebrate the strength and authenticity of Lisbon’s music scene. From the city’s outskirts to the world, Batida has become an essential reference point in contemporary electronic music. Maribell and DJ Maboku [CDM] join forces for a night of Afrodiasporic rhythms, pulsating beats and high energy, bringing memory, the present and the future together.

MARIBELL is a DJ and music producer who creates soundscapes that cross borders and celebrate diversity. They blend rhythms from various African diasporas, including afro-house, batida and gqom, with baile funk and its subgenres, crafting dynamic sets that connect cultures and get the dancefloor moving in a global celebration of sound, movement and culture.

DJ MABOKU [CDM], born in Angola and raised in Bairro do Pendão, Queluz, is a prominent figure in Lisbon’s electronic dance music scene. Co-founder of CDM alongside Lilocox, he has developed a vibrant, polyrhythmic sound, bringing together batida, tarraxo, kuduro and afro house in an ongoing celebration of the dancefloor.
