Meeting point ~ 22 Nov

Hosted by June João

7PM

The infamous karaoke event Karalhoke is coming to Alkantara Festival, bringing audiences, artists and the team together for a moment of collective communion. Voices of varying degrees of harmony will purge their own shame (and that of others), reject the all-too-dominant logics of competitiveness and professionalism, and make room for pseudo-artistic gestures and genuinely performative acts. June João, as hostess, will organise the chaos (as best she can) and make space for vocalised expressions of all kinds – sometimes emotional, sometimes show-off, tacky and/or brilliant.
