Open Call: matéria leve 2026
Scenic lighting training project

- 15.10 — 05.11 2026
Alkantara Festival once again welcomes the matéria leve study group, opening a call for applications for 10 places in a training and research group focused on stage lighting. The group will attend a selection of performances presented at the Alkantara Festival.
Starting from the idea that stage works are, above all, invitations to particular states of attention, the group examines the relational architectures that host them, enabling specific ways of seeing and listening. It approaches the space in which a work takes place as a territory that invites us to enter.
Drawing on the languages commonly used in the performing arts, such as lighting, sound and scenography, we want to ask the following questions: What kind of space does this work create? What meanings does it open up? What ways of looking and listening does it propose? What relationships do we find? What gestures could nurture them? What are we being invited into?
matéria leve is a platform for research and training in stage lighting, coordinated by Leticia Skrycky with the guidance of Carolina Campos.
