- Espaço Alkantara
- 18H30
A series of two talks with four artist-run initiatives from Portugal, Spain and Türkiye. Curated by Sezen Tonguz, these talks aim to open a space for exchange and reflection through the perspective and experiences of invited artists in the ever-changing nature of collectivity.
The first talk takes place on 19 April at 6.30pm at Espaço da Penha. At Espaço Alkantara, on 30 April, Ana Dinger will moderate the conversation with Burcu Yılmaz (A Corner in the World) and Felix Arjona (Associación PAD).
A Corner in the World started out as an international festival for contemporary performing arts in Istanbul, bringing together artists from Türkiye and its surrounding regions. After two editions, the festival expanded to an organisation with a new team, with its focus shifting to nurturing new voices and forging new connections with independent actors and institutions across the city. Founding partners Burcu and Fatih have been leading the organisation since 2020, building a community of creative professionals that operates across various fields within the creative industries.
The Association of Professionals and Companies for the Development of Dance in Andalusia (PAD) is a non-profit association that represents dance professionals in Andalusia before public and private institutions, with the aim of promoting and supporting the sector, improving working and training conditions, and fostering their professional development. It acts as an agent for the cohesion and strengthening of the dance sector, with the aim of increasing the prestige of the profession and promoting greater recognition in society.
